CAMH is breaking ground on the next thing of its landmark redevelopment project.

This is a proud instant for our wonderful City. This redevelopment gives us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to advance care for people who have mental addictions and disease, foster scientific discovery, empower patients, and remove barriers in the context of a civil culture. With our neighbors, we are changing the face- – and the future- – of mental illness and addictions. The CAMH redevelopment enables a unique, integrated model of client and care recovery based on the most advanced knowledge in addiction and mental health. Outmoded institutional facilities shrouded in stigma are becoming replaced with buildings designed to promote customer independence, recovery and hope.Community Health Innovations , a subsidiary of Community Hospital Foundation, the nonprofit parent organization of Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, has announced a partnership with xG Health Solutions, a startup released in February 2013 by Geisinger Health System that provides Geisinger's intellectual knowledge and property to additional healthcare systems around the world. ‘At Community Health Innovations, we are committed to enhancing the patient care experience, improving the ongoing wellness of the community, and reducing the expense of care,’ said Chief Operating Officer Liz Lorenzi. ‘We regarded in xG that we both talk about a conviction that integrating real-time scientific data with traditional data we can make smarter, evidenced-structured decisions in regards to our patients and therefore, our patients have the best possible care.’ The building blocks of the CHI and xG partnership will become Geisinger's ProvenHealth Navigator, which leverages health it and is credited with reducing avoidable hospitalizations by 18 % and avoidable readmissions by 24 %, according to 2011 published figures from Geisinger Health System.
